The Potential of Rhamnolipid as Biofungicide against Rigidoporus microporus Isolated from Rubber Tree (Hevea brasiliensis)

چکیده

Rigidoporus microporus is the main causal of white root disease (WRD) in rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis). The present study investigates use rhamnolipid, a biosurfactant produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa USM-AR2 against R. microporus. In vitro dose-responses towards rhamnolipid were determined on different isolates using poisoned food technique (PFT). Inhibition mycelial growth was found to be dose-dependent, with highest inhibition 76.74% at 200 ppm (pH 6.29) SEG isolate. On contrary, lowest concentration applied 10 5.97) had effectively inhibited RL 19 34.36%. AM isolate assumed most aggressive pathogen due recorded all concentrations tested. At same time, least compared other isolates. (ppm), which reduced 50% (EC50), 17.82 for isolate, 12.52 26, and 11.80 This result indicated that inhibit might vary based aggressiveness virulence levels It pH changes after incorporating into PDA not factor affecting obvious an inhibitory effect fungal vitro. first report has been shown control potentially.

Enzyme kinetics of hevamine, a chitinase from the rubber tree Hevea brasiliensis.

The enzyme kinetics of hevamine, a chitinase from the rubber tree Hevea brasiliensis, were studied in detail with a new enzyme assay. In this assay, the enzyme reaction products were derivatized by reductive coupling to a chromophore. Products were separated by HPLC and the amount of product was calculated by peak integration. Penta-N-acetylglucosamine (penta-nag) and hexa-N-acetylglucosamine (...

A Stimulator Protein of Rubber Biosynthesis from Hevea brasiliensis Latex

A rubber biosynthesis stimulator protein (RBSP)from the C-serum of Hevea brasiliensis latex was purified and characterised. This proteinaceous factor stimulates the incorporation of isopentenyl diphosphate into rubber and thereby enhances the rate of rubber biosynthesis. The heat stable RBSP is shown to have a molecular weight of 13 068 Da by mass spectroscopy. Amino acid sequence of peptide fr...

Identification and reconstitution of the rubber biosynthetic machinery on rubber particles from Hevea brasiliensis

Natural rubber (NR) is stored in latex as rubber particles (RPs), rubber molecules surrounded by a lipid monolayer. Rubber transferase (RTase), the enzyme responsible for NR biosynthesis, is believed to be a member of the cis-prenyltransferase (cPT) family. However, none of the recombinant cPTs have shown RTase activity independently. We show that HRT1, a cPT from Heveabrasiliensis, exhibits di...

Synchronous flowering of the rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) induced by high solar radiation intensity.

How tropical trees flower synchronously near the equator in the absence of significant day length variation or other meteorological cues has long been a puzzle. The rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) is used as a model to investigate this phenomenon. The annual cycle of solar radiation intensity is shown to correspond closely with the flowering of the rubber tree planted near the equator and in t...
